SPANISH FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT

Survival Spanish for Law Enforcement Officers -  This program is designed to provide non-Spanish-speaking police officers with functional skills in Spanish. The program utilizes phonetic encoding to address the most important Spanish commands, questions, and phrases critical to police work. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary. Survival Spanish for Narcotics Officers - This program is designed to provide non-Spanish-speaking narcotics officers with basic, functional skills in Spanish for three primary settings: 1) entry and search of premises; 2) highway interdiction; and 3) street arrests. Officers become proficient in use of Spanish language for real-life situations through learner-friendly techniques. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary.

Survival Spanish for Highway Drug Interdiction - This program is designed to provide non-Spanish-speaking interdiction officers with basic, functional skills in Spanish. Officers quickly become proficient users of Spanish language in real-life situations through learner-friendly techniques. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary.

Survival Spanish for Jail Facilities - This program is designed for non-Spanish-speaking correctional officers and jail support staff to provide functional Spanish language skills for monitoring and managing Spanish-speaking prisoners in city and county jails. Emphasis is placed on officer safety, effective prisoner management, institutional security, and protection from legal liability. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary.
NOTE: In the State of Texas, the successful completion of this program has been approved for TCLEOSE 2109 credit.

Survival Spanish for Correctional Staff
- This is a comprehensive Spanish language program that provides immediate access to functional language skills for state and federal non-Spanish-speaking correctional officers, as well as other correctional staff. This program enhances the management of prisoners, officer safety, and institutional efficiency and security. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary.


Survival Spanish for Probation Officers -This program provides non-Spanish-speaking probation officers, supervisors, and their staff with basic, functional skills in Spanish. Utilizing phonetic encoding and scripted Spanish, this program addresses a wide variety of officer/client scenarios important in probation work. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary.
